Understanding the color wheel; Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors; Color mixing and harmony

Week 2: Watercolors

Introduction to watercolor techniques; Wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and blending; Experimenting with different brushes and papers

Week 3: Creating Art with Watercolor Techniques – Part 1

Planning and sketching the artwork; Applying learned watercolor techniques; Developing the first half of the artwork

Week 4: Creating Art with Watercolor Techniques – Part 2

Continuing and completing the artwork; Adding details and final touches; Group critique and discussion

Week 5: 3D Art with Clay

 Introduction to clay modeling; Basic sculpting techniques; Creating simple 3D art pieces

Week 6: Landscape Painting with Acrylics – Part 1

Basics of acrylic painting; Sketching and planning landscapes; Starting the first layer of the landscape

Week 7: Landscape Painting with Acrylics – Part 2

Adding details and depth to landscapes; Techniques for painting skies, trees, and water; Finishing touches and highlights

Week 8: Using Texture to Paint

Introduction to creating textures in art; Exploring different materials and techniques; Creating an artwork incorporating textures

Week 9: 3D Art Using Wood – Part 1

Basics of woodworking and safety; Planning and sketching 3D wood art; Starting the wood art project

Week 10: 3D Art Using Wood – Part 2

Continuing the wood art project; Adding details and finishing touches; Group critique and discussion

Week 11: Glazing Clay Work

Introduction to glazing techniques; Preparing and glazing clay pieces from Week 5; Kiln firing process and safety

Week 12: Mixed Media Art

Combining various materials and techniques; Planning and creating a mixed media piece
